- Die Arbeit im öffentlichen Raum aus weißem Kalkstein mit ihrer verführerischen Oberfläche enthält die sichtbare Aufforderung: „one wish, one kiss" und wurde von Juni 2023 bis März 2024 mit hunderten von Küssen übersäht.
Der Lippenstift dringt in den Kalkstein ein und bleibt als dauerhafter Abdruck erhalten. In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Sowjetischen Ehrenmal stellt die Arbeit auch einen Gegenentwurf zur Männlichkeitsdarstellung der kolossalen Soldatenstatue dar.

Limestone, palettes, kisses with lipstick

The work in the public space made of white limestone with its seductive surface contains the visible invitation: ‘one wish, one kiss’ and was covered with hundreds of kisses from June 2023 to March 2024.
The lipstick penetrates the limestone and remains as a permanent imprint. In the immediate vicinity of the Soviet memorial, the work also represents a counter-design to the colossal soldier statue's representation of masculinity.
Den Anfang machte eine große Eröffnungsfeier. Zur Eröffnung spielten Alphörner (ALPHORN.BERLIN e.V), es gab Getränke und einen Tisch mit Lippenstiften.
Martin Schönfeld vom Berliner Büro für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum des bbk Berlin sagte bei der Eröffnung: "...Krieg und Gewalt wird mit Intimität und Sinnlichkeit begegnet. Die gedankliche Verknüpfung mit den vielen Wünschen lässt den Stein zum geheimnisvollen Resonanzkörper unserer Gegenwart werden."
It all started with a grand opening celebration. For the opening alphorns played (ALPHORN.BERLIN e.V), there were drinks and a table with lipsticks.
Martin Schönfeld from the Berlin Office for Art in Public Space of the bbk Berlin said at the opening: ‘...war and violence are met with intimacy and sensuality. The mental connection with the various wishes turns the stone into a mysterious resonating body of our present.’
